411 ON CANNABIS SPRAY
We wish to clarify a couple of points in the May 15 article "Canada first to OK cannabis spray for MS" (Vol 2, No 9). First, Bayer respects and strongly adheres to the conditions of its notice of compliance to market Sativex in Canada. This product should only be prescribed for the indication for which it received approval: as adjunctive treatment for symptomatic relief of neuropathic pain in people with multiple sclerosis.

Secondly, Sativex is not liquid marijuana. It is a pharmaceutical product standardized in composition, formulation and dose. Sativex is administered by means of an appropriate delivery system, which has been tested in properly controlled preclinical and clinical studies.

HERPES PLEA BEARS FRUIT
I cannot thank you enough for your support and enthusiasm about the Herpevac trial ("Herpes vaccine clinical trial arrives in Canada" June 30, Vol 2, No 12). It's so important for women's health and it's truly great to see your effort. We already have received a phone call from a gynecologist out of Toronto East General Hospital who has expressed an interest in obtaining more information about the trial and I will likely be presenting at their rounds some time in September.
