CONTEST ENTRY ACCESS
I was reading the National Review of Medicine and I quite enjoy it. In a recent issue, I saw this contest calling for docs to nominate their administrative assistants. I tried to access the website, but my computer pops up a big red X and blocks any further entries. Can you help me? Thanks, and keep up the good work with the paper.

Thanks for advising us of the problem. We've added your admin assistant to the contest entries. Please turn to page 32 to find out if she won the prize.

NOT IMPRESSED
What do I think of NRM? Most physicians are capable of reading beyond a grade four level, so I'm not impressed by headlines like, "Tamoxifen doesn't up stroke risk" (Vol 1, No 22). "Up" isn't a verb and "increase" is! Try reading the Economist for amusing clear English.

Erratum: In the article "Docs spurn claim that optimism harms, not heals, cancer patients" (NRM Vol 1, No 22), Evelyn Roberts was mistakenly attributed as having stated that 'she'll lose it' if she sees another feel-good cancer ad. In addition, Ms Roberts' GP was not interviewed for the article. The mistake was made during the editing process and the editors take full responsibility.

Doctors, we want to know what you think. If you have any comments, criticisms or congratulations on anything you have read in the paper, send us a letter. Email us at [email protected]
