VOLUME 1 NO. 1

Welcome

Welcome to the first issue of the National Review of Medicine. It’s designed to bring some order to the vast amounts of medical news you’re subjected to every day. We’re not going to bring you all the information that’s out there — a staggering 1.1 million sites on the web alone are devoted to “medical news” — but we promise that what we do print will be relevant and timely to your practice. Above all, and this is our special pledge to you, it will be organized in a way that puts the information at your fingertips. The front-page will always feature a summary of the contents article-by-article keyed to the page on which the full piece appears. Pages three, five and seven of every issue will feature a column of “News in brief” highlighting research around the world — always informative, sometimes amusing. Health news across the country will be kept in one place and organized by province and territory so you can quickly get a sense of what’s going on in different regions. The aim is to make it easier for you to stay informed so you can devote your time to more important things: Looking after your patients — spending time with friends and family — or on other activities that refresh and renew.
We’re the people who also publish Doctor’s Review and Parkhurst Exchange. We’d like to hear what you think of our newest project.
